Wednesday CourseCours du mercredi

Finding balance through equanimity

by Lama Jigmé Namgyal

Amidst our busy lives in the modern world, it is easy to feel out of balance – this manifests in tension, stress and depression, and can negatively affect our family lives, our work and of course our health.
The antidote to this situation is equanimity, an attitude of mind which allows us to step beyond the narrow confines of our ordinary likes and dislikes into greater spaciousness and ease. Meditation makes it possible to discover and experience such equanimity, so that we can move beyond mere reactivity to the experiences of happiness and suffering. We thereby find a greater sense of balance and harmony in our lives.

This course is intended for those who have already followed the basic meditation course or who have already a grounding in meditation practice.
