Sundays 18.00-19.30 – Beginning the path of meditation
(with Lama Jigmé Namgyal)
What is real meditation
Real meditation has nothing to do with feeling good. Feelings always change. In real meditation one is not disturbed by emotions or feelings, but one can abide in a stable and calm and clear state of mind. This is when meditation brings clarity and leads to recognition of ones true nature which is hidden underneath our continuous flow of thoughts, feelings and emotions, like the sun is hidden behind the clouds.
Lama Jigmé Namgyal will offer wisdom teachings on starting the contemplative path of training one’s mind. Participants have the opportunity to ask questions and share their experience. Lama Jigmé is a genuine Tibetan master with a lifelong dedication to the study of the mind. Having been born and raised in Tibet, he delved deeply into the profound teachings of Buddhism from an early age. Lama Jigmé’s pursuit of knowledge led him to the esteemed Serthar Larung Gar, the world’s largest Buddhist university. With nearly two decades of teaching experience, he has generously shared his profound wisdom with diverse audiences worldwide.
Please take note that Lama Jigmé will be based in Rotterdam this term and that he will teach from there. However he will occasionally be coming to Luxembourg and teach at the Centre.
The teachings will be streamed by zoom, so participants can follow individually online. When Lama is in Luxembourg, you are most welcome to come to the Centre, but you can also follow online.
Dates: Sundays from 6 pm to 7.30 pm.
