Khenpo Jigme Phuntsog Rinpoche

by Jigme Phuntsok

with Lama Jigmé

On Monday evening, Lama Jigmé Namgyal will teach  from the book “Always Remembering: Heartfelt Advice for Your Entire Life” by the highly esteemed Tibetan Buddhist master, His Eminence Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok.

The Wisdom of Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok

His Holiness Jigme Phuntsok was a distinguished teacher within the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. He was recognized as a tertön and was famous for his mastery in Dzokchen and his visionary endeavors, including the establishment of the non-sectarian Buddhist community Larung Gar. This is one of the largest monastic communities in the world and a vibrant center for Buddhist education, which has contributed immensely to the revival of Buddhism in Tibet and China.

On the occasion of the thirteenth anniversary of Rinpoche’s death, this book was compiled, in which his precious and famous teachings are bundled. It contains stories about the lives of great masters, as well as teachings about the principle of cause and effect, being open to all religious traditions, spreading the Dharma, and helping all living beings. In addition, it’s about controlling what you should and shouldn’t do. Five poems by Jigme Phuntsok, translated into both Tibetan and English, enrich the teachings with the poetic voice of His Holiness.

His teachings have inspired countless people around the world, including Lama Jigmé, one of his direct disciples.
