Exploring the Transition of Life and Death – Bardo
The Centre Culturel Tibétain is happy to invite you to a special weekend teaching with Lama Jigmé Namgyal on June 15-16, 2024, in Luxembourg at our centre. This event is open to everyone, regardless of their background or beliefs.
Exploring the Transition of Life and Death
We all share a common experience: we’re born, we live, and we’ll eventually pass away. But what if we could use our lives to prepare for this transition? According to Buddhist wisdom, life and death are interconnected, and understanding this connection can reveal the true meaning of our existence.
During this weekend, Lama Jigmé Namgyal will guide us through the concept of ‘Bardo’:
Bardo (Tib. བར་དོ་) is a Tibetan word that simply means a ‘transition’ or a gap between the completion of one situation and the onset of another. ‘Bar’ means ‘in between’ and ‘do’ means ‘suspended’ or ‘thrown’.
You’ll learn how to approach this universal experience with a sense of curiosity and openness. Again, everyone is welcome!
